KNOWING WHEN TO LAUNCH
Your Idea, Business or Product
I woke up thinking…
Well, I always wake up thinking, just this time, I’m scared.
I’m about to take bold steps and do things that might define the next phase of my career.
And to be honest, I low-key think I’m late. I stalled
It’s okay to be scared but it’s not okay to stall.
There are only two questions you need to ask before launching
Have I made something meaningful?
Have I made something useful?
When you have made meaning, when you have made something that is useful (not perfect), you are ready.
In a live session I moderated with D.A, I asked, “When is the right time to launch?”. He said, “When you are 20% ready, you are not ready but when you’re 80% ready, you are late”
“When you are 20% ready, you are not ready but when you’re 80% ready, you are late” — Dala Alphonso
It means, do your homework but it doesn’t have to be perfect.
When you don’t ship your idea or product because it’s not perfect, you are stalling. ‘Progress’ is more important than ‘perfect’.
This is my shortest article so far and it’s not perfect. But…
It’s meaningful because you can understand it and it’s useful because you can apply the lessons.
It’s normal to be scared to start something, but fear (that kind) is and will always be a part of life.
I’m still scared, but I’m not stalling anymore.
I’ll keep you posted with what comes out from my next bold steps, I hope you tell me yours. Email me here.
