Being a Student

For real

Commonly, a student is someone who attends a school but that alone doesn’t get much done.

Alternatively, schools shouldn’t only make students, students should make the schools but if what you do is always try to pass a test, that’s a run in the wrong direction.

Your goal as a student should be to make something out of what you learn. That’s how you make the school because now, you've made something another person is proud to study and can create from or improve on.

When you take what you are taught, and decide to learn it, and decide to contribute to the body of knowledge available on the subject. and decide to make something out of it, no matter how unrelated, you are making the school.

Many of the thoughts we learn in textbooks today were written by people that didn’t have the convention we now call school but they learned and then they created and that’s what it means to be a student.

When you take a course, when you sign up for a program, when you show up in class, here’s what you should say…“I’m here! And I want to make something out of what I learn other than some grades”

That’s something
